In making the decision regarding his upcoming move, Florian Wirtz also sought advice from Julian Nagelsmann. Liverpool FC is a "super club" for the 22-year-old's next move, according to the national coach.

Liverpool FC instead of Leverkusen or Bayern: Florian Wirtz is poised to move to the Premier League. Negotiations are going well , and Wirtz has already turned down FCB . This, of course, hasn't gone unnoticed by the national coach.
Although Julian Nagelsmann said on Saturday evening that he didn't yet know how Wirtz would decide, he confirmed that he had been in contact with him in recent weeks. "We've exchanged a few messages," the 37-year-old said on Sky's microphone during the DFB Cup final in Berlin. He said he tried to give the 22-year-old international "advice to the best of his knowledge and belief" regarding his transfer decision.
"He makes the decision entirely on his own," the national coach emphasized. "I didn't rule out any club, and I didn't advise him to go to this particular club. I tried to give him an outside perspective."
The fact that Wirtz is now poised to move to Liverpool is, in the national coach's view, "a good step for him because he can play in his position there." A "great environment, a super club" awaits the 29-time national player at the Reds.
Ultimately, the most important thing is "that he plays, that his development continues," Nagelsmann emphasized. "If he feels he's in the best place at Liverpool, then he should do that."
From the national coach's perspective, a move to FC Bayern, where Wirtz could have played alongside, among others, national team colleague Jamal Musiala , "certainly wouldn't have been a bad idea." However, "These are two players who also find each other at the national team level, even if they don't play for the same club."
